Swap meet - PDX 10/15

Norther Cycles is putting on a swap meet on 10/15 at the PCCC college in PDX.

New Events ? Norther cycles

Anyone going?

We don't have many swap meets in Portland, which seems a bit odd. I'd like to see a regular one get going.

So, Handmade bikes this weekend Fri and Sat 10/7+8,

Norther swap meet next Sat. 10/15,

And then BF C+V VC ride, show, shine, swap, current maker display, demo's etc. Sat and Sun 10/22+23

shaping up to be a stellar C+V, custom, handmade bike month in PDX as it should be!

I'll be in town (12th-18th). Would love to get together with anybody. This might be the place...

I'm planing on going if it's not raining steady. If you or any other PDX C&Ver's want to share a booth, bring a folding chair and I'll share my folding gazebo with you.

So is anyone willing to accept cash and a short list of desirables: such as, most of (or part of) a ShimaNo Arabesque group? Brakes/levers, shifters, FD - I have a longish cage RD. This is for a Batavus Competition and is hoped to be a most affordable build - just gonna put a new BB.

edit: I'll be back Oct 22-25.

Gotta mix it with ride and a beer. Starmichael's been working on a beer license, and even if he doesn't have one by then, he's got a small fridge, and there's a store just around the corner...

So all we need is a bike ride.

I totally support Norther cycles.

This shop is the real deal with in house frame building, in house wheel building, high end paint/powder (outsourced), restoration of all levels, Compass products, quality used/vintage pieces and even vintage wool jersey's. It's got my vote for best all around bike shop in Portland.

It's worth going just to check out the shop but the swap meet should be great too. I plan to attend.

He did a lot of the work on my old bike, and I have a lot of components to off-load, so I'll probably go.

30 minutes to go before this outdoor event begins (it's still on for certain). How's the feeling out there on attendance?

We were there for a bit. I talked to the guy from Norther Cycles, checked out the couple tables on the sidewalk, then wandered back home. Sorry I didn't hang around long, but we have a family obligation mid-afternoon...
