Brake Levers for MAFAC Centerpull Brakes
I am doing a rebuild/restoration on a 1974 PEUGEOT MIXTE UO-18, on a penny budget. Original brake levers are MAFAC plastic and have broken tips. I am looking for super cheap replacements. But with all the info. Online I am confused on what kind to buy. I have porteur style handlebars and need to replace cables. So the end on cables doesn't matter at this point since I will buy whatever is compatible to my new brake levers. Please send me links, or suggestions on brake levers that I can use. Thank you

cyclingarri I am pretty sure that I have a couple of pairs of spare Mafac levers. PM me if you are interested in a trade. I would be happy to help.

First I'd check out your local bike Co-op for Weinmann or Dia-Comp levers for upright bars, or look for these.
Tektro FL750 City Brake Levers for 22.2 dia Bars - Levers - Brakes & Parts - Components , or
VO City Bike Brake Levers - Levers - Brakes & Parts - Components.
Cheers,
Chris

Bikes: Lots of English 3-speeds, a couple of old road bikes, 3 mountain bikes, 1 hybrid, and a couple of mash-ups
+1 on the VO City Levers, I've used several sets over the years and have not been disappointed.
