BTW, the Spanish term equivalent to "fred", is "globero"... which literally means "balloon salesman".

Not only that, but if you'll notice, El Globero is wearing a pair of huaraches, which are like the perfect cycling shoes for the summer (not least because they usually have nice grippy soles made out of old car tires!).
