Bikes: It's complicated.

Calling all nor'easterners...

Anybody that still has internet service after the snow-pounding, call in...

Add to that midwesterner's in the north...

Power has stayed on here all day in Boston, but it sounds like Cape Cod had close to hurricane force winds. rootboy?

Bikes: Bianchi San Mateo and a few others

The roads are a mess, so I'm not going anywhere today, but no problems with utilities or anything. By the time the system passes, I may have about a foot of snow total. It's the most snow we've had in a while, but nothing particularly noteworthy. Friends of mine east of here near Binghamton apparently got a lot more snow than I did.

Still have power in Harrisburg, PA. 17 inches as of 5PM with only an additional dusting to come. It will be windy with lows in the high teens tonight. In late Feb we had 5 days in the 70's.

Just another March snow event here in the Great White North. Little over a foot so far, getting breezy.

Haven't seen a plow since about 10AM. Local school was on, but kids sent home at noon.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

It's just snow, and other than inconvenience, no big deal.

I look at snow as nature's way of providing. I don't get out on the bike enough during the winter, so snow ensures that I get enough exercise.

Problem is that, once opened, the local streets will still be treacherous, so I'll probably curtail any riding until I see dry black top.

Did manage a commute home yesterday, cloudy in the upper 20s. Just shoveled 4-5in with another 6-12 on the way. Guess the xc skis are coming back out for another couple of weeks!

It was nasty in central NJ, but clearing up now. There is blue sky on the western horizon. I'm sore from all the shoveling, though.

They were calling for 18" here, but it's more like 6". But it's been stopping & starting a lot, so could get worse, I guess.

Bikes: are fun!

Ct shore has internet and power, maybe 6" of snowfall turned into 2" of compacted slush after a couple hours of sleet and rain. Just finished getting the cars set to roll out of the driveway tomorrow am.

It was nasty out when I walked the dog in the morning. Ice pellets stung my face.

And we've been inside all day. No shoveling duties, because we're in an apartment building. We got less snow than predicted, though it's pretty messy. I won't be riding for a few days. I have the subway to take me to work.

Have a freshly "finished" Fuji espree and Crisscross drop conversion that both need a shakedown run.... doesn't look like that's happening

6 inches just dropped down quickly but the temp is going up. Never know what you'll wake up to. If you don't like the weather in Nova Scotia, just wait an hour...

I grew up in rural Nova Scotia. Remember waking up one morning with both Cars covered in Snow. We had almost 5 Feet of Snow overnight. Wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Can't wait to go back this Summer.
