Identifying vintage frame/saddle
Hey, wondering if anyone can help me identify this frame/saddle.
Also, does anyone know how the aluminium frame here would compare to a classic steel reynolds 531 frame (especially if used for touring)?

Cheers.

the saddle looks like some flavor (banana?) of Flite, no idea about the "7005 heat-treated aluminum" frame except that it would probably be extremely stiff and unforgiving in ride quality, not to mention no visible rack or fender attachment points so IMO not suitable for touring. The color is sort of Bianchi "Celeste" but that doesn't guarantee anything about the brand...I'd choose a 531 steel frame made for touring over this one in a hot NY second.

...if you're really sold on aluminum alloy frames for touring, Cannondale made touring specific aluminum bikes for a while, with longer stays and wheelbase. They also have braze on fittings for rack and fender mounting. As stated above, they are stiff and transmit a good deal of road shock. If you can get fat enough tyres on the one you choose (700x32's) they do OK.
The whole aluminum to steel thing as a frame material has been done to death here. Try a Google search on frame materials/touring bikes and limit it to Bike Forums.
