Another mystery frame to solve... please help!
I am hopefully picking up this frame tomorrow. The seller doesn't know much about it. It was recently powder coated and hasn't been built since. He says it has Campagnolo dropouts and an English-threaded Cinelli bottom bracket. It had that Dura Ace headset on it when he bought it.
As you can see, it has a fast back seat stay, internal cable routing, and I think those are Bocama lugs? Braze-ons for two water bottle cages, a frame pump, downtube shifters, and a front derailleur. Pretty sweet IMO.
Is it a Serotta? That seat stay makes me think so. But I don't see any engravings on it anywhere. I will see it tomorrow and know more.
Thanks for any help you can offer. Hope to build a frankenbike with it!

I don't know, but they really should've been more careful about getting powder coat in the seat tube like that.

Mystery solved! This is an early Fast Rabbit bike, built with a mix of True Temper and Reynolds 531 (and maybe some Columbus thrown in) according to the builder himself! Bob Maharrey, the builder, caught it on the FB Steel is Real! Group and weighed in. He told me he built about 25-30 frames per year for about 7 years, mostly for racers in the US Midwest. Every bike was custom built for the rider. He said state championships and national medals were won with these bikes.
Those are Henry James lugs. Bob is going to look for the Fast Rabbit graphics for me in case I want to reproduce the stickers.
I couldn't find any information on Bob or Fast Rabbit on the internet. Only one reference on BF with some nice pics of one of his frames. Really nice custom work. Here's the link for those that are interested. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...st-rabbit.html
I'm very excited to build this up and will share pics when it's done. I'm inspired by the thread here on the "Great C&V Frankenbike" and see this frame as a true canvas.
