Faded Glory
I got a new lens for my birthday, a Lumix 25mm f1.7 for my old Panasonic GF1. So I thought I would try a post some better pictures of the sun-faded Electric Plum patina of the beater 1993 Trek 930 Single Track earmarked for my son to take to college this fall.

Nice photos they look very sharply defined and clear, the new lens must be a big plus for bike ride and still shots. And the bike kind of grows on you with that faded paint scheme, what the sun accomplished would be a headache to try and replicate successfully. It should be a good campus get around bike, but he is going to have to play the "lock it up religiously" game.

Considering how severe that fade is, I wonder if the bike was ridden on Mercury for a few years. That's nuts, but a sweet effect.
