Tektro 559 Peugeot PR10: 55-73 millimeters vs. 539 47-57 millimeters
Hi,
I have a pr10 1976 and am not sure what size the wheels are. I would like to replace the brakes but do also not know which size to get. I measured but came out at 55-59
There are two options: Tektro 559 55-73 millimeters vs. 539 47-57 millimeters
Any advice?

The wheels are 700c, right? Or are you running 27 inch wheels on your PR 10? In any case, you your measurement suggests you should get the longer of the 2 tektros, right?

28" is an old northern European designation for 700C, i.e., an outer rim diameter of 622mm. A PR-10 has pretty generous clearance by today's performance bike standards and can accommodate some 27" (rim diameter 630mm) tires, as well. As suggested above, if you buy the longer brakes, you will have more tire and rim size options.

Fortunately, I got a chance to meet him before MS cut his life tragically short. His website is being maintained his former coworkers.)
