There are lots of Bianchi replacement decals available, from multiple sources. However, the actual frame characteristics certainly look correct for a circa 1984, mid-range model such as an Alloro. However, to sure you'd need to get the req'd post diameter and determine if it has a Columbus steerer. Even then, that doesn't prove Alloro, just that it is has the same frame as an Alloro.

T-Mar is right is certainly looks like an '83-84ish frame. Bianchi, much like everyone else, often used the same frame across several models. What decals are on your wife's Alloro?

Alloro decal on top tube was removed but it still left a print of glue residue and it reads Alloro.

I noticed from the sellers decals they're a different shade of blue. Maybe different year?

Your wife's is a newer model, circa 1987. Pertinent differences on your wife's bicycle are the Gipemme dropouts, lack of fender eyelets, cable routing under the BB shell, 2nd set of bottle bosses, different stay cap and fork crown engravings.

I figured a different year or frame was decaled with replacements.

I'm looking at it tomorrow so hopefully I come home with it

It's interesting how the clear film on the Piaggio and Made In Italy decals has discoloured, while there is no discolouration on the Bianchi logo decals. To me, this suggests the discoloured decals are OEM, while the logo decals are not. Regardless, the presence of a Piaggio decal would indicate no newer than a 1984 model. The manufacturing date will be a two character alpha-numeric stamped on the drive side on the seat lug.

Consequently, my previous assessment still stands. If you want to increase your confidence level that it is an Alloro or equivalent frame, you need to determine that it is Columbus Tretubi SL. This would be indicated by the use of a 27.2mm seat post and a non-Columbus steerer tube on the fork.

Just got home and went straight to the frame. Inserted a 27.2 seatpost and it fits.

Ive measured this frame over and over again from the top of seat tube to center of bb shell...always comes out out to 22.75" or 57.78cm...can it just be considered a 58cm?
