58, 58, 61 & 13.5
The Rekord 7x series were entry level racing bicycle popular with club racers. The Strada was an entry level recreational touring model. Both used the same tubeset but the Strada has slightly more relaxed geometry. Often, it can be difficult to detect the geometry difference via pictures. The most readily visible difference are the chromed fork blade ends on the Strada versus the fully painted fork blades on the Rekord 7X series.
Thank you T-Mar. Hey do you know which “Celeste Green” a 72 Rekord/Strada is supposed to be or know of anywhere to find paint info.?

Non orig.
[QUOTE=juvela;21331445]-----
non-original fittings on red machine:
chainset
wheels
rear mech
saddle pillar
gear block
drive chain
Do you know what original; Chainset, saddle pillar should be? Or @ least color for a 58cm 2L steerer stamp should be?
Have; Nisi w/Regina & Reg. chain.
Thank you

if cycle 1972 Rekord model -
original chainset would have been NERVAR Sport cottered
original wheels would havae been NISI serrated tubular rims in bare aluminum
original rear mech would have been Campag Velox or Valentino
original saddle pillar would have been plain steel
original gear block and chain would have been Regina with black finish
hope this helps you a bit

That is the equip. I have that I thought looked original when I pulled the thing apart.
I do not have a rear Valentino - The front is. So I’ll look for the RD, a “saddle pillar” guess I’m limited there when I type in “seat post” and the “chainset” I’ll look for is the cottered! So crankset is included in chainring set referring to both as “chainset”? & BB is just the BB, which looked orig. - Stronglight, hollow, square, tapered (wrote sz. dwn. forget) has 36x24 cup. - Sheffield’s look original.
Tyres may even be original for the NISSI - 1 is brand new so I don’t want to run it - red, white, green inside is beautiful.
Didn’t quite jive as a Strada?
If I can find correct; RD, Chainset, Pillar, cable clamps, cable color, tape, toe straps & it merits the original paint if that can be determined - I could change it back to the way it was originally.
Thnx a bunch!

Saddle

Pulled the leather, patched it, cut the plastic way back, had the “Russian Mafia shoe guy” glue it back on, then I painted it & & penned in the silver. Wanted the padding to ride STP. Brooks - original? Strada’s I’ve seen had braze ons & diff. components :/

These saddles with the "anatomic" padding did not appear until the mid-1970'; launch was about 1976...IIRC! One in photo is Selle Italia brand. Two other brands of this type recalled were Avocet and Vetta. These latter two were not fabricators, just marketing entities, to use modern parlance.
They were sold under several different brand names.
Me rusty "braine" cannot pull up a mental image of the saddle on a 1972 Rekord model bicycle. : ^ (

here is the manufacturer catalogue page from Peyrard for the NERVAR Sport cranks -

Terminology
Was probly put on in 78 w/RD.
Learning “lingo” from ya juvela! Appreciate it!
Helps a lot to know what to type in when sourcing!
Hey would you know if the Gnutti skewers would be correct! I’d need to find 1 (front) or 2 new Campy.?

Going green “Celeste Green”
Front had a wrong pin. Have seen a Rekord w/Campagnolo wheelset, hubs & QR ❤️
(Next one) probly overdress this one.
This Gnutti skewer is a nice match for the dwn tube shifters.

OEM spokes (raggi) were likely from one of the major Italian producers such as Alpina, Radaelli Lario (G.F. Radaelli Lario S.p.A.) or Stella.
The Alpina logo is a capital letter A.
The Radaelli Lario logo is an angular capital letter R.
The Stella logo is a five-pointed star inside a ring.
---
if you wish to paint frame Celeste there are plenty of Celeste accessories available: toe straps, water bottles, frame pumps, handlebar wrap, etc.
---
the Sheffield pedals are model Corsa 655

Awesome info. Thank you! Probly just saved a bike!
”A” on the spokes, so Alpina.
Used to have a bike w/Raggi - 30 yrs ago.
Unknown correct color & decal set.
4 different Celeste colors?
This has a white pump.
white; pump, straps & bottle?
Put the gum hoods, tires & brooks?
cloth tape? Color? Blue looks great! Red looks great w/red decals!
black cloth w/black decals?
See why I gave up & just painted it - I’m CRAZY!
My cars are stock. I’ll put this one back the way it was built @ some point.

am sure you will have lots of fun with the colours whatever you decide
in case you would like to find an OEM adhesive cotton twill cloth tape the brand would have been Gaslo -

2L, same, same, minus; RD, Chainset, Saddle & Pillar.
This example has a mismatched cable clamps (center) - original post has those wide square clamps that I’d like to change to those you showed earlier, matching the shape of Campy pump clamp. 👍
I paid $200. for the bike you two have helped with.
Any Idea on paint info.? Autobody paint supply can mix it - guessing “Acrylic Enamel” was material, so how would one find a color # or which “Celeste” this original example is?
Thank ya bunches for the input.
