The model 'Special' is labelled as such on the top tube.
There are a couple of threads on this C&V Forum with the serial number table, lots of pics and info.
edit: mine below.

Looks to me very typical of a 1982 Holdsworthy Nuovo Record. A very nice frame.
This frame appears to have only been built and listed in 1982 catalogue. Dave Scrimshaw's prediction table presently places 041304 in later 1982. However this is being reviewed by Dave and Nuovo Records likely date more accurately closer to very early 1982. Dave's excel spreadsheet presently lists 6 Nuovo Records all between 041221 to 041366 in which yours falls. It appears the Nuovo Records were all built around this same short period or alternatively were assigned a patch of numbers. From data thus far the Nuovo Record was likely limited to only a couple hundred frames. Your frame will be a helpful addition to Dave's data base.
Yours, at least on quick look, appears identical to nice example on UK LFGSS site which is identical to Kilgariff catalogue description. Sold as a frame with Tange headset. You'll note it has same distinct style of seat stay caps, same integral seat post bolt, same Prugnat lugs (does it have same triangular cut out on top point seat lug?), same crown (at least from what I can see), same cable routing, no fender eyelets, same decals, same headset, etc. See: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/...comment9308675

Bikes: Current favorites: 1988 Peugeot Birraritz, 1984 Gitane Super Corsa, 1980s DeRosa, 1981 Bianchi Campione Del Mondo, 1992 Paramount OS, 1988 Colnago Technos, 1985 RalieghUSA SBDU Team Pro
That style of Reynolds 531 decal places your frame before 1983. Reynolds issued those between 1977 and 1981.
Decal style is not always a guarantee of manufacturing date but if original they will get you close.
Also, if you check the history info, the address on the Holdsworthy sticker might help too.
That frame needs some 783 gear on it!

Is your chainstay bridge drilled for fenders? I've never understood why manufacturers will have drilled bridges without fender brazeons in kind.
