Fleetwing Year?
Does anyone know where I can find the date of my Fleetwing by serial number? It looks 1960s to me and possibly made in Canada with a maple leaf decal on front.

12 speed is certainly NOT 1960s. Check component codes.

This frame looks looks like Procycle and definitly not Raleigh Canada. It is 1980s.
Procycle serial numbers were stamped in several places in the 1980s.
First try the upper seat tube, non- driveside. Sometimes the stamping here is faint and difficult to read.
The first digit is the year of manufacture. The second character is usually a letter (but not always), which is for the month of manufacture.
Next dropout, non-driveside. Usually 7 digits, the first of which is the year of manufacture.
Next is the BB shell, which you have probably looked at already. Again 7 digits.

Looks like “CNOLM-42828” Any guess on trying to decipher the year from that? On the B.B. is “5015851”

What could be confusing is that there have been both makers and models with this name. Concur with the assessment that this is an 80's or later frme.

Edit: I have also seen Canadian manufactured bicycles with "LM-42928" on both dropouts. Not a serial number. Maybe a part number for the dropout.

Definitely 1985... date it stamped on the rims! Almost finished, just waiting for tyres, alloy bars & seatpost. Also my own modification: through tube brake cable! The original rear brake cable was too ugly for my liking.
