Bikes: they change so much I'm tired of updating this

Holdsworth build

I had this frame for sale due to the toptube being a tad to long. No interest in it from anybody so I decided to build it out of boredom. I had everything on hand , I hated to break open the Campy parts bin, but this is a really nice frame. Unfortunately all I had in shifters were to non drive sides, so I'm waiting on a drive side. The headset is the original Tange, Cinelli bars and stem. Everything is Nuovo Record except the calipers which are GS, it's all I had that was nutted.
Mavic Open 4 CD rims and Record hubs. I think the only change I will do is switch the tires to gumwalls.

Nice bike. Very nice.
Get the cockpit dialed and I can't imagine you won't like it.

I'm using an 80mm stem, so it's not to bad.

"I use Dial - Don't you wish everyone did? 1960's deodorant soap commercial

Seriously?
Dialed means that the fit is right for the type of ride you want to achieve.
I ride 58 thru 62cm frames. It takes different stems, bars, posts etc to hit the combination of comfort, balance, power. Dialed permits you to push the frame and tires with knowledge that the rest is right. Different for each - my peculiar preference is narrow bars for pavement roadies.

edit: For example, my Holdsworth/Harding pictured above = Not Dialed - look at that saddle tilt. Clearly a picture taken before riding/evaluating that saddle, which was too skinny for my rear-end, so also not dialed.

Stately ride. If the 80mm stem is all it takes, I’d say you have yourself a winner.

It looks great. Thats a really good approach for a black bike. Make it all black. Looks purposeful.

Bikes: I hate bikes!

Nice! You should try a set of Nitto Noodles. Since they curve back a bit, it might make it more comfortable without having to go shorter on the stem

Great looking build Sloar!

Very classic look. I'm with you on the gumwalls though. I think they'd round that bike out perfectly. I love the Clement Strada LGG 25mm that are on my Trek 770. I'd even consider going with 28mm on the Holdsworth if there's enough clearance.

Either way, nice work!

Good looking Holdsworth Shawn, presentation is beautifuly executed. With a set of gumwall tires it should be perfection.

I agree. Very nice. Gumwall Tires and White Tape would make it POP.

Until 3 rides in when the white tape turns to grease colored tape.

The build looks great. I agree on getting some skinwalls on there. The bike deserves more than cheap Ultrasport tires.

Ultra sport and Ultra Race tires are very underrated tires. These are my go to tires.

That's a fine looking setup. I like the black tape, it's ninja.

That's a gorgeous bike. I like it the way it is, with the blackwall tires.

Excellent looking build Shawn, very nicely done. The all black isn't s badly executed here, at least the Campagnolo bits are silver. Folks from the UK should be proud of your presentation on this one.

Thank you! I thought about adding some white, but I built it to ride.
