Shout-out to generosity at BF

I would like to say that this forum is Tops.

Members provide advice, support (for free), and parts for cheap or free. Snarky comments are usually called out or ignored, and the moderators are quick to step in when necessary.

I am glad I found BF, even if I didn't own one bike.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.

I like the snarky comments, as long as they're actually funny.

(Not so much the ones that are merely abusive or belittling)

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

I have participated in various forums, but by far the two most valuable and enjoyable ones for me are Bike Forums (mostly C&V and 50+, but I do visit some of the others from time to time) and Passatworld, which has saved me a ton of money and time on the cars (1996 Audi A4 Quattro and 2001 VW Passat wagon). (Pictured: Austrian bike with German cars. )

This place has given me so much that anything I could ever do for the others would be a small payment. Agree 100% about the tone and tenor here, the few times it gets a bit tense someone always gets in and settles nerves.

Unlike alot of other forums here and on other sites this forum and a couple others, the people here are genuine and want to share things, not belittle for something stupid.

But seriously, I feel the same. I've even made great real-life friends through the C/V forum. That's what it's all about - community. The knowledge here is amazing, I'm privileged to be a part of it all!

Bikes: Bikes??? Thought this was social media?!?

More than a dozen years of posting.
Have enjoyed every bit of BF and our hobby; and they are better together.
