The axle locknut thread is a somewhat unusual 7mm x 0.75mm thread; maybe source from a place like McMaster-Carr? Otherwise, other pedal hardware e.g. Campagnolo Gran Sport, Gipiemme Dual-Sprint, Ofmega, etc. pedals axles, cones and hardware are interchangeable with Record and Superleggero pedals. You might be able to find a beat-up set of one of those, from which a locknut can be scavenged.
The dustcap thread is pretty common. MKS Sylvan dustcaps will fit, are widely available and affordable. If the MKS logo offends you, you can file it off and make the cap anonymous. It won't look like the Campagnolo cap, but if you use it on the non-drive side pedal and nobody will notice.

I think I covered all of the varied names for that size!
I'm hoping to put some alloy rims on my Superbe that I actually use as a rainy-day commuter and guest bike (both scenarios where braking performance is worth having), but also want to maintain the look as best I can. I know CR18s used to come in a polished finish in this size, but it would seem that is no longer the case.
If anyone has any 36h polished CR18s (or similar) in ISO 590 kicking around that they'd like to make a buck off of, let me know!
(I am in Canada, but could probably bug a friend in Rochester to ferry these for me if needed)

I have multiple sets of the beartrap style pedals and would gladly trade for a set of 730's. Or I _might_ have a set of rectangular shaped ones of some sort but my junk is in storage at the moment so it would take me a week or so to find out.

have you confirmed there are parts actually broken inside the unit? Cause if it's merely stopped shifting (as often occurs with age) the easy cure is to flush out the old dried up grease with a big long bath of WD-40 or PB Blaster and working the mech until all grease has softened up and moved along.

I lost one last night when the spring clip launched it over my shoulder. I think it landed on the work bench but…

It's for that '88 Schwinn Voyageur I've had kicking around, so technically touring, but I'll take MTB too. Not picky, just want something that works that's compatible with the Shimano 6-speed shifter.
