Help ID this Italian Atala
Just got this vintage Atala road bike. Besides the Atala sticker, there is nothing else really.
Based on the serial number, looks like a 1980 model? The newish looking decals also make it more modern.
I can't find much info on these. It looks like an entry level road bike. The 'suicide' brake levers, stamped drops, basic lugs, cheap looking braze-ons, lack of water bottle braze-ons, and lack of stickers indicate entry level at best.
26.2 seatpost
Campagnolo Valentino groupset (at least the derailleur)
Nice looking 3ttt stem and handlebar
Ofmega crank
It's large for me, so I'm thinking of flipping it. However, it would be nice to know what i'm actually working on. Or if anybody in the Bay Area wants to trade for a med-small frame, let me know!

Frame constructed with Agrati lug set "ROMA" pattern nr. 000.8020/E/U.
Headset looks to be OFMEGA.
Hubs appear not to match; is front Miche perhaps? Rear looks different from what can be seen in image.
Right pedal shows the remains of what was erstwhile a Lyotard Berthet.
Chainset model is called Gran Premio.
Do not know who would have sold this in the Bay Area at this time. Back in the '70's the Bay Area had several Atala dealers. Machine looks to be wearing a California cycle license.

Very good eyes juvela . Rear hub is non-original. Looks to be a fairly old replacement, because it wears a 27" aluminum rim and 5 speed freewheel. Been wanting to remove the CA bike licenses, they are expired a few years.

Thank you for the response.
Noticed that rear rim appears wider than front.
Regarding the license(s) - the statewide license sticker the cycle wears only came into use in 1977. Prior to that licensing was done on a municipal level.

The post diameter is consistent with Tullio tubing, a lightweight hi-tensile steel that was proprietary to Rizzato, though it has also surfaced on at least one Viner.
While I don't have any literature for the early 1980s Atala models, the two leading candidates would be Grand Prix and Corsa variants. Tullio tubesets with Valentino derailleurs were used on the 1970s Grand Prix models, with the early 1970 Grand Prix being replaced by the Grand Prix II in 1975. In the late 1980s, the Tullio tubeset was used on the Corsa frames.
