Changing over drivetrains.

Changing over drivetrains.
Hey guys!
so on my Puegeot P8 (will post pics once I make ten posts since it wont let me till then haha) I have a drivetrain that is set up 2×6 with 14mm spacing. Cranks are french, bottom bracket is swiss with a square taper on it. Shifters have been mounted on velo orange thumb shifter on my handlebars.
I also have a Dave Quinn, which I love and fixed up but is too small for me(frame wise). Thing is I LOVE the way this thing shifts and feels. It has a Shimano Biopace drivetrain system (2x7). The front and rear derailleurs are shimano 105 with downtube shifters. Has a british bottom bracket with square tapers. The rear spacing is 14 mm.
My question is can I put my Biopace 2×7 drivetrain on my P8?
The tires are equivalent (700c to 27').
The rear spacings are the same on both frames (14mm).
The seatpost tubes are even equalivent(9.5cm circumfrance).
Will my tapers line up?
It seems like that would be my only real point of seperation, aside from the chain length of course.

You are completely unlikely to be able to use the 105 cranks on the Swiss BB spindle for the French crank. But you might get away with using the 105 spindle in the Swiss cups - you'll have to pull them apart and see if they are similar enough, but Swiss is at least 68mm wide.
What does 14mm rear spacing mean? Rear spacing is usually 126mm or 130mm, for example.
Is the derailleur hanger normal?

Interloc Racing Designs (IRD) makes English, Italian, French, and Swiss cups to work with their bottom brackets.
Sealed cartridge (with more or less replaceable bearing cartridges). They should work with your 105 square taper cranks.

Thanks guys!
I figured it wouldn't cross over but thought I'd check. I'm still thinking about pulling the drivetrain system off the Dave Quinn and using it on another bike.
To answer your question Kontact;
I clearly measured the wrong place for rear spacing. I thought it was the space between the wheel mounts on the rear of the frame.
I am still quite new to working on bikes so sorry for any mislabeling or lack of clarity on my part.

You're measuring things a bit weird. if you google things and parts you'll find how things are more typically measured. You could take the seatpost out to measure the tube if you don't have calipers, it's likely somewhere between 25.4 - 27.2mm in diameter. 0.2mm can cause a problem and 26.8 and 27.0 are not uncommon sizes so you'll want to make sure. Also some parts might just say their size on them. Rear wheel spacing is easier to follow a guide.
Anyway, there are a lot of potential problems with trying to transplant a drivetrain. Does the frame have mounts for bolt on shifters, or just clamp on? That's another one...
If you don't feel the need for indexed shifting, it can help a lot just to get an indexed freewheel and a 7/8 speed chain... the chain will still shift faster even if you're using friction instead of indexed.

Sorry I left a zero off.
140mm! Is what I meant. My bad.
I have been dissuaded from doing this by you guys and my friendly neighborhood bike guy who said it could be done but would likley require many additional parts.
thanks for the help everyone!

Or did you measure the outside width?
