I'm in the same boat with regards to small kids. Usually sneak out for an hour after work or early weekend mornings.
im painting my sons bedroom this weekend but otherwise I'm good to go.

I am up to 122km or 75 miles on the bike now.

A minor twist of the barrel adjuster and I have no issues with shifting. There is a bit of flex in the crank and chainrings so trimming the front derailleur occurs a bit more than otherwise.

A bit of a creak in the bars that I will have to address. The RX100 levers rattle a bit too if I am not holding them. I am using the drop in segment more regularly now.

Otherwise the bike is solid. It is not my fastest or lightest bike but it is a good ride and I am enjoying the stretched out riding position. I will update with photos after I get my new parts.

Sounds like it's just about right. I'm probably going to go for some early morning rides this weekend if you're good to go. Pm me. Thx

1 hour in my shop and it would be RobbieTuned. No noise, just quiet steel kick ass. You will get there.

A bit of a creak in the bars that I will have to address. Most serious issue.

The RX100 levers rattle a bit too if I am not holding them. Should not happen. Bolts may be bottomed out, or you are missing a part. Seriously, there should be very little play and cable tension should take that out.

I am using the drop in segment more regularly now. Outstanding.

We are living vicariously via your journey here. Keep it up.

i replaced the seatpost. This one weighed 755g. I put one in at 254g. Replaced the brake pads too which saved about 20g.

I think the brake levers are the source of creaking. I greased the bar clamp to no improvement.

Slightly revised setup.

New brake pads give me something new to look at other than the stem and hub. They work better after a bit of working in with more adjustability.

Seatpost is a bit whiter than the bike but has good adjustability and saved me 500g.

Went for a quick ride today. Got into a bit of a race with someone I found on Strava later on a Litespeed. I nearly didnt peel myself out of bed to go for a ride but I am glad I did.

I have never found this to be otherwise. That bike has grown on me.

State your size and location. Our goal is to educate the unwashed masses.

Ironman are the opiate of the masses.

The bike frame is the medium.

I'm sure you've heard these quotes before. People mis-use them all the time.

After we've waterboarded you with vague information.

Really, I've got to arrange shipping to me, but may leave it where it is, as it's closer to the Ridge. Now, if you go to Ohio first next spring, I may be closer.....it's so confusing, by design.

If I leave it where it is, it will stay dirty. If it comes here, it gets the full monty, and if the general public sees it, they'll all want one.

We need to go over again just what components you need, as well. Shoot me an email.

The bike had been running more or less as is for the past two years. A few days ago I tried moving the crank and it was firmly stuck in position. Apparently the lockring wasnt clinched down enough or gave up the ghost but the adjustable cup tightened itself and destroyed itself and the 113mm 3H-B spindle. I had a sealed 111mm UN54 bb sitting around. Chainline is within 1mm so I am fine with that because it didn't cost me anything. Some cleaning, rear wheel true, and new Deda bar tape to replace the other that started separating and here we are today:
