I would like to see anything on the Pro-tours from the catalog.

84 catalog is on sheldon's site. Le Tech RD.
I have a LeTech- I've been in the process of redoing the bike that it lives on for about the past year or so... There are many other derailleurs I would prefer to use before the LeTech. |

I do have the pages scanned. Was there a particular one you wanted to see or just wanted to browse the catalog?

I imagine the logic is you are putting a pump there, so why poke holes for rain to get in? |

I asked about the bottle setup because by the mid80s it was pretty common for a quality frame to have 2 bottle cages in the main triangle and higher level loaded touring frames to have a 3rd mount on the underside of the downtube. I was simply surprised to see the underside location but not the seat tube. its a neat part of cycling history since it was short lived- 2 bottle mounts on the downtube without a seat tube mount didnt last long. pretty cool. |

not sure why rain would get in as long as a couple bolts were in place.

I would like to post the catalog on vintage-centurion.com if you would allow me to do so. (credit given to source by all means.)

It looks like a time capsule.

Finally got it ready for the road, spit and polish later when I have more time. Bugs me that the front tire label is on the wrong side, tires are on right. I threw some junk levers on for the time being, I want to use the original Gran Compe levers. Do they still have replacement hoods? http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...pszqa5q5ej.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...psnbcfv23y.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7pojkgkl.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...pslfvhi7lb.jpg |
Another great sloar build. Very ace.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, but why don't you just flip the front wheel around? Do hub labels trump tire labels? I guess my OCD doesn't run deep enough :-)

A perfect bike for when you have no particular place to be at any particular time, but want to be sure you arrive in style. Hope it rides as good as it looks. |

I’ve been watching this Centurion on Craigslist for a couple weeks now. The price dropped done and I finally picked it up today. Slapped a Brooks on it to take a quick spin. New Paselas, bar tape and cables and it should be ready. My intentions for it was bad weather and a winter bike but this thing is clean. http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...psqrkyu6od.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...psrpxmzzyb.jpg http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/...psvvzcwr60.jpg Glenn |
