The Mighty “Huffy Rockit”

We all started somewhere and saved from oblivion for $6.00 I saw a solution on sight. Wheels, small, small wheels for short legs. The three year old grandson loved to sit on a kick tri-cycle and go at the local children’s museum. Hmm, maybe he’s ready. So therein is the “Mighty” if it works I’ve launched another grandchild into the wonder of freedom and speed. Yes it’s all relative but rolling wheels at all ages are fast, faster than legs and longer in the running.

So, glued the cracked chain guard and lubed the headset and front wheel hub, soaked the rusted chain back to life and lubed the seat tube and handlebar stem. No, left the bottom bracket alone, it spins OK, and the pedals even with penetrating oil seem welded to the cranks and the alchemy of the rear coaster brake hub awaits another day as it too spins OK.On the stand cranks crank, chain chains and rear wheel spins and stops, it works. Now the hard/fun part convincing HIM it works. Wish me luck.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.

Dig those super light 18-spoke rims. Your GS will be the fastest three year old on the block
