Park Pre Track
Months ago, I mentioned in a related post that I owned a Park Pre track frame. Didn’t post photos at the time as the frame was stored deep in the attic.
Today, it was time to do some year end cleaning, so I was finally able to pull the frame out.
Made from Tange number 1, the paint job stood out even when it was new.At one point, I had some aero section bull horn handle bars with an integral stem that I would use on the rare occasions that I rode a timed event.
and here it is

It is a Fairly frame. It is a solid, predictable ride. Tighter in the rear triangle than other track bikes I rode, which was good for the ride, but made picking the right gear challenging since I never wanted to mess with chain length in the middle of a night’s racing.

Very cool!

Outrageous paint on Park Pre's.
A couple of forum members have Park Pre's in their collections, but I don't recall seeing a track bike before.
I currently have a "Catalyst" hardtail I picked up at a garage sale.
It's actually a very nice bike for the $$$$.
Can't wait to see yours built.

While I could get it rideable in less time than I have spent on this post, and I could do a total re build in a pretty short time, It is pretty low on the project list. It is not something that I can put in the rotation of bikes I can use on my usual routes, and I don’t have space to hang more than a couple bikes. So it will probably end up back in the attic until I need a new bike to ride the short distance to the library and to the store.
