Almost finished, need to find money to get stickers made and repaint, so I only painted around the stickers.
Need to get head badge ordered and find stainless chain guard or that Shimano shark fin thing.
Regards
Shawn

Nicely done. Is there an interesting story behind "replacement" in the title? I'm also curious about the RD housing stop on the chain stay vs the font of the RALEIGH on the DT. Seems like different eras, maybe 10 years apart.

replacement? You can’t find Raleigh decals on eBay? A chrome chain stay protector is a great idea but a Shimano shark fin served a entirely different purpose. The fin was intended to keep the chain from getting sucked in between fat mountain bike tires and the chainstay, so it mounts way to far forward to be useful as a chainstay protector.

Been away. Yes replacement. Bike stolen on Yonge Street and Sheppard Ave (main street in Toronto). In front of mall with no camera outside, and in front of main doors. Two cable locks cut and left daughters Rocky Mountain behind. White van involved, but nobody saw anything.
I was only there under two hours, but have learn my valued lesson on U-locks and cheap commuter/grunt bike.

Drive train is updated to Claris except front crank. These are Vintage SR. Brakes are Tektro long reach. Rims are generic 27 but one is double walled :-). Classic SR quill, bars, and pedals. Brake levers are a mix of Shimano and Dia-Compe.

I need to recheck/tru the wheels, wish I had a tension guage.

Regards
Shawn
