Bikes: '73 Mondia Special, '73 Frejus TDF, '84 Gitane Rallye Tandem, '85 Trek (Custom) 660, 85/86 Gitane Professional, and a few more!

My first Cresent as acquired just a few weeks ago.

I acquired this bike from the original owner. I believe it is a 1973. The only thing that I am missing is the seat post pinch bolt - I believe it was the tapered one that was common on Reynolds 531 frames.

I just picked up a vintage Crescent 3 speed to keep as a local bike and I am not really sure of the model or year. It's a orange men's 3 speed with coaster brakes & front caliper, 27"alumnium wheel's & handle bars, leather saddle plus bottom bracket has a generator lead coming out with wire running on underside of rear fender to missing light but bracket is still present. No front light but looks like a threaded ground stud on back side of steer tube. Serial number on bottom bracket is 4213007. Any insight on where to find information, decipher serial number and or historic catalog's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I will post picture's soon. Just found production codes posted for Sachs hub's and my code is for 1970.

would expect a lugless frame paired with a one-piece chainset from Briga

fork may be constructed with a large unfinished sandcast crown which wears a chrome cap
fork ends may be crimped rather than separate pieces

may exhibit a wheel lock brazed to seat stay

chain stay bridge may be ESGE
