Aero bars won't resolve the neck issue, as they typically place the torso slightly lower than when riding in the drops.

While not being your frame, it is identical to your frame, so it's appropriate to use it for reference. Both are Tange Infinity tubing with eyelets on the rear dropouts, which is strange for a funny bike, as they point towards lower end and who would put fenders or a rack on a funny bike? The only thing from your frame that might provide further information is the actual serial number.

Yup, but I'm curious enough to give it a try. There are a couple of reasonably safe routes with smooth pavement and little traffic where I can practice.

I'm getting re-evaluated by ortho in a month or so for the pesky neck problems from 2001 and shoulder injury from last year. I'm curious to see what they say about the old C2 injury. For years the C2 was splintered into three pieces, per imaging. But last year's new diagnostics show the vertebrae appears to have healed, congealed or whatever it is bone does eventually. But it's unusually thickened and still feels crunchy in some neck positions.

We'll see. By which I mean "We'll see whether I can finally snag a legit KOM without a tailwind or paceline assist from teammates."

My theory is those eyelets on the dropouts were designed to support the freakishly long extended Xenomorph helmets designed by HR Giger for the Alien Triathlon.

If what's left of my memory serves, there was a discussion on the big Centurion thread, a few years ago, about someone selling these Turbo frames+forks. It was someone over in England who had a small quantity of them and was selling them directly, I think. I don't know where that Greek vendor got his frames, but I can't help but think there's a box of forks floating around somewhere out there.

Since the majority seem to think there never was a "real" factory one. And nothing online......Is it feasible someone ( WSI or an individual) had a lot made by another manufacturer or frame builder then just painted and put decals on them? If they were fakes it would seem the serial numbers would be much farther apart. Possibly made for a team that never happened? You guys have mentioned someone in the past with some frames. The guy that owns the one at the beginning of the post said he bought his from a guy that had 10 of them. It would make the most sense to me seeing as its been done before. Murray used Serotta frames for the 7-11 team (lots of stories on that on Google). I'm sure others have done the same as it would be the most cost effective way to start a team.

I think someone wanted to make and sell the frames.
My take is that WSI was aware of them:
1-The font uses the connected ENTURI in Centurion. Trademarked?
2-The Turbo logo. Trademarked?
3-The 1987 "Miami Vice" magenta or fuscia or whatever color appears the same.
4-The paint quality.
5-The lugs are similar to the 1987 Ironman Expert
6-The circumstance. This was a production run, of sorts, not a one-off fake.

There are differences, of course, from the standard Centurion fare of the time span. The original Turbo, for instance, is from an era prior to the so-80's later Ironman and other models. The frame tubing, the fork, the Shimano SFR rear dropouts (that include an eyelet). The frame is well made, well finished, and perhaps there actually were 30 or more make, given the number. I'm not sure.

I don't think they are fake anything. I think they are what they are, cool funny bike frames made similar to the late 80's Centurions, with decals that hark back to the earlier 80's Centurions, and with dropouts available at the time. I can't see how WSI or Centurion or the people involved at Centurion would not have known about them. Maybe Alan Goldsmith would know, as he was certainly involved with Centurion in that time frame. I'm not asking him. Well made, well done. I hope mine can be well built.

You could swipe a 650 fork from one of these. Also the color seems to match. After all Centurion did make a 650 bike...kinda think how this bike was morphed from.

Not getting the point on the tools, and that is a nice 650 bike, which would then be a nice 650 bike minus a fork.....

Personally I'd leave them on and turn it into a single speed TT Funny bike with a rear fender. So that way all the cyclist would say "what the hell? Then I'd point to the Centurion decal. Then they'd say oh another "Centurion fan boy nut job", maybe it's Robbie tunes, nah he's going too slow.

RT , a few beers ago I related to a few amigos that I had a deep distaste for fender mounts on race bikes . The amigos lost their shi* and gave me a Veloforums type flaming , I found it humorous and took no offence but you did and proceeded to rip them new ones , I took that to hart . Anyhow , still to this day I say the only good cheerios are floating in my bowl of milk with sugar . OK , I will say that I'm warming up to pink unicorns .

I had a Cinelli Super Corsa with eyelets. Drove me up the wall. I've surely mellowed since, relative to the "Turbo" funny bike.
