70's/80's Gitane

I acquired a Gitane frame I purchased in 1980(likely late 70's vintage) but I'm considering rebuilding back to the configuration I had in 1980 (starting with strip and paint). Frame was identified as a Gitane Grand Tour with Reynolds 531. It has no braze-ons. Looking at photos and on-line descriptions I don't see a frame like this (especially the rear spiderweb dropouts) that fits Gitane. Could be a mid 70's as I purchased just the frame from a local (Des Moines, Iowa) bike shop. Would appreciate thoughts on pedigree of this frame and any advice on rehabbing it.

Does it have Huret "honeycomb" drop-outs like shown below on my 1975 Gitane Champion du Monde? Longer thread on it here: What "honeycomb" Gitane did I get here?

Bikes: Lots of English 3-speeds, a couple of old road bikes, 3 mountain bikes, 1 hybrid, and a couple of mash-ups

How is the original paint? If it is decent, you may want to preserve it.

Yes drop outs look nearly identical including eyelets for fenders./panniers but not chrome. Fork and crown look the same......frame geometry suggest more of a touring bent. C.champion du monde.. thanks
