Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

Had a wonderful post written up with pictures and all. But apparently I need to post 10 times before I can post photos. Maybe it’s for the best because I would clog this thread with photos of mine in all the forms it’s taken over the years
Welcome! This is a great forum. I'm glad this thread was helpful since there is not much info out there about the Squadron. The classic & vintage area on here has tons of great threads about older bikes.

Thank you! Ya there isn’t really any information on this bike out there. But it’s a very capable bike. So many options. I plan on testing to see the biggest tire I could fit in the rear here very soon and will definitely report my findings

UPDATE: I have successfully mounted Soma Supple Vitesse 48c tires on my 19mm internal Mavic A719 rims with clearance to spare

Bikes: all sorts really

That really is too bad- struggling overhere to get my own beauty on the road again, lots of setback (wheels, -gears etc..) But can't complain too much as I got this bike for free luckily..
Would be very interested in seeing what you made it into over the years !!
couldn't you share your bike somewhere else perhaps ?

48 on a 19 rim ? That sounds great !! I've allways wondered about the max. tire-widt - good to hear that it is indeed possible.. I'm off to my garage as there are several 19mm wheels lying around there !
Thanks for sharing the info - much appreciated.

Instagram

Still haven’t reached 10 posts so I can’t even post a URL. But if anyone here uses Instagram my account in ‘richardmckellar’ and there are tons of photos of my squadron on there. As well as my other bikes.
