Accessory OCD

I have issues with mismatched bags on a bike . I have bags that do not match and honestly it bugs me, for mostly aesthetic reasons I like to have everything match. I know it is unreasonable , and I should be more concerned with function over form . Does anyone else have similar issues or does it not matter and you just use what works ?

Another question comes to mind .. Must it be only a single brand of accessory?

acessories??? How about wheels, or even rims... derailleurs, is there no order in the world? The end is nigh, I tell you! Gruppo or die!!!

I understand your concern. Unmatched acessories can be a lot more noticable than some things. I use what works, while keeping an eye out to make things match, when and if possible down the road.

You might have included a photo so we could see what you're saying. Nevertheless, OCD is not that uncommon. The real problem is when it interferes with your daily life. I just have one bag so for me, that particular problem is not an issue. Unlike cars where the rear window doesn't go all the way down.

Having only one bag IS a problem... No symmetry.

Now you bring up a different set of circumstances altogether since symmetrical balance and matching are not the same thing as some things exist as asymmetrical by nature.

Everyone has adequately summarized my many bike problems ... Case in point I have exactly one grocery pannier and do not have it's mate. I actually tried to buy a matching one but could not source it. Eventually I will buy a matching set to sooth my mind.... I have a matching set of Vaude Panniers for touring but do not have their counterparts for the rear , my set is actually the smaller front set...

I have a Jandd underseat bag and a Jandd trunk bag both in discontinued colors so you could not match them if you wanted to ..Quite simply put I need to decide on some new stuff get rid of the old stuff simply so that everything will match ...

Now I will be at work all day pondering how to solve this problem instead of doing work....
