Unusual is a nice for for this, I remember seeing this for the first time, and thought those who made this must have made more interesting things, but learned along the road, that MAZA was a short "kind of project" (maybe the name of this bike?) of builders Mattioli and Zanasi under their name Emmezeta (MZ in Italian). Actually they built together with Luciano Paletti, hence the olddr Paletti bikes and catalogs show PMZ, not LP. As far as i know Emmezeta is still active (at least i read in an Italian forum where one of the members showed his custom ordered frame like 2-3 years ago, while all the others praised them for the quality work and/or just generally how cool persons they are)

This one looks really nice. I have a yellow Turbo, so now off to collect the rest...

Great all around and nice disc wheels.

And this next one goes out to Lattz, who we are hoping was not kidnapped by a swarm of tasteless outer space creatures riding modern Trek or Specialized bikes:

Well for this slice of the TT pie this is just about perfect. The red frame is just about iconic for this genre. The Turbo Bio saddle is one of my favs and is so perfect for this bike. The chainring is cool of course. The disc wheels are super hot with great graphics...SILVA did it so right and fits this machine to a tee. Nothing is overdone here. The only minor imperfection is the short bullhorns. Would have gone with fuller more rounded ones.

This is that wonderful frame one. And the disc wheels are killer and in soooo nice condition. This thing looks like it could slice through air....a high velocity thing of beauty.
There is something abour these yellow Masi's. I don't know if its the whole legend around Masi, or what, but few yellow things can pop my eyes (Red Rossins are closer to me but it was never a secret), but these somehow just great as they are. Maybe its better that they are not "yet another red Italian", quite the opposite.
Here's one one more, (although a rather modest one - if such thing exists in the TT world) to ensure the that the cattle stays together, and to represent the German Road Safety Rules with bikes with 2 independent brakes...

And some extra content not to offend the red one....

The 'R" brake bridge is not original, according to a forum, it was customized back when Mario was still alive and allegedly "he liked the idea and approved it" through his son who commented in the forum.
I often see this among old Rossin forums, but the authenticity cant be proved for sure.

Ben, I know you're a person who's not worrying much on missed buys, but that Deus Ex Machina is still painful to think about. I have never heard of such Cinelli before, but it's upto its name, even against (or maybe especially with) the unusual color.

And these two... pffffff thanks god I'm not loaded with cash, would be a hard decision (since obviously none of them has 2 brakes) I know for many it's a weird thing, but I'm a bike tube and soviet handlebar evangelist, these two would satisfy most of my needs, besides I might not be able to properly park them in the corp. rack...

The Cyfac (this time badge engineered as Raleigh) Fignon used had C Record according to my records. First this setup made me wonder - even if it sounds ridiculous - if martl has repainted his Castorama Maxi Sports (also a Cyfac bike) but checked a few posts beforehis frame looks different, so only the wheel-handlebar-seat combo is the same. Actually I really like this bike, the "banesto" color scheme and the Lombare-Manta combo (things im not really a fan of) somehow add up as a nice whole. After seeing this Fignons one look "modest" somehow no matter if C Record and "Pepsi" wheels..

When Ferrari gets into TT you know there will be some beautiful machinery that can rival Cinelli.
Here is a piece of a prototype done for Bianchi. malcala622

Killer colors and chevron like pattern.....Lovely stuff.....its all about the paint and the curves.

Less common colors....Some people are tired of Colnagos.....not me. They just got it right on too many levels including innovation. Sure a lot of pictures of them exist...but I never get tired of this eye candy.
There might be someone hiding some gems in their garage that I don't know about but mine are on pitbull certified lockdown when garaged.

Man that colnago frame is sweet.

Today in Northern Europe we are hit by the remnants of the tropical hurricane ‘Eta’. Therefore, no better day than this to make it TORNADO-day!

The small Danish Tornado brand was established by Tonny Petersen. He was track and road racing back in the 60’s and early 70’s. When his son started racing, Tonny started building bikes for him. Soon his friends also wanted bikes, and Tonny started the Tornado brand in a shed in his back garden. This was in his spare time from the day job building Maersk container ships at the local shipyard. Now in his mid-70’s, I do not know if he is still active. Back in the steel era in the 90’s he built frames which won Danish championships and international track events. He also used to sponsor a youth racing series.

I particularly like this white one and the handlebars on it. Hope to see you more here at TT Land.
....
Yes, it’s an interesting story, and I would love to own a Tornado, but at the moment only one frame is up for sale and it’s way too big for me!
I’m guessing here, but I would think that Tonny got some inspiration for the white bike from the Cinelli Laser, which had a Danish connection, but that’s a story for another day…
Also, the crazy yellow track frame could be inspired by the Moser Wind bikes?

And a few more Tornado pictures!

A little too much airbrush with sailboat and seagulls!

80’s frame rebranded SCO (which used to be a big Danish bike manufacturer). Allegedly built with Reynolds 531 SpeedStream tubing.

The Mavic disc is a great match!

Inspired by the Moser Wind?

Hi Ben, I have read in in interview with Erzegovesi (Cinelli Engineer, later CEO) that the gussets on the Laser and the likes are most importantly not aero features, but reinforcements, right then I realized how many times i read "special reinforcement'" in catalogs. But based on your question just to make sure I've checked for this frame, as I was not sure if a talented CG guy just drew something which looks cool (nothing is wrong with that either), or there is sense in it.
Turned out to be the latter:
It’s been since 2004 that we’ve been real life testing this frame, a head on collision with a car, winters, hundreds of drop offs and pick ups, pot holes, bike polo, multiple cities, tens of alleycats and Cycle Messenger Championships all around the world. And, they all survived. 5 years of testing gave us a lot of time for perfecting the design. Which we did, new drop outs, new geometry, and a few other goodies. So we feel they are ready to take the title of the strongest work bikes in the world. Finally, a Track Frame designed to survive in the concrete maze.
We (at least I) forgot about alternative (and these days more common) use cases for fixed bikes than track racing. This seems to be a real fixie for the (non German) streets for those who are into that.

Here is a better view. We need to know something about this make.
Lech Rychtarski is a well respected Polish framebuilder to date. While he builds 'regular bikes as well (making also road and gravel bikers happy according to posts), obviously mainly known on the internet for his iconic track/pursuit bikes for olympic teams and mortals as well, which earned him the cult status. As I dig everything made in Columbus Air/Ego and Max, if I would (could) ever consider a custom made frame, I guess, I might also consider knocking on his door, since those are his specialties.
I am almost sure, that the similarity in the earlier posted La Piövra and this Rychtarski is not accidental. La Piövra is BLB (Brick Lane Bikes)'s house brand if I understand properly, and they are said to work together with Rychtarski (read on forums, where a few "smart" British guys were axing a someone who tried to sell his Rossin Lopro, that it must be a BLB made by Rychtarski, just because they haven't seen Rossin lo pro with Max tubes).
And enough talk, let a few pics speak for the guy:

This Sannino recently appeared/disappeared on eBay, besides the "Sannino"-ness it is special for the Air tube (with propertiary seatpost inclusive! an important thingie when one buys an Air frame, although a big pity for the screwed up panto) and it was claimed to be pre-owned by former Soviet (= Ukranian) 2 times TT world champion ('83 and 85), Alexandre Zinoviev. Asking price was USD600, my struggle was real... (as always )
I know for many it's a pile of junk with rust and trashed pain, but for me it's a typical example of a "Lattz-bike"... special, rare if not unique and (kind of) cheap....

and one other Sannino which surfaced a few days ago on the Gerrman market, not for sale, the guy EXPLICITLY willing to exchange it to an 50cc Vespa scooter.. too bad all our Vespas back home are a few times bigger.

It is refreshing to see so many non-Italian makes (not that I have anything against those, quite the opposite), the Cyclops, Tornado and the Wilson are out of the regular league here, and they came really on time, I was wondering the other day, if I could manage to find something different, like South-American, or African makes, I'm sure people made bikes over there as well. Anyone possessing pictures of non-European/non-US/non-Australian bikes?

Heres a modern "instant" classic just to keep the world in balance.

ONCE

TWICE
One for the Trek Fans

Looks Good, but a lot of stress on that tube, along with an internal drive belt or chain!
I am still waiting for my decals...
But a new 650c Tubbie on the way!
I will post a pic of another one that got away a little later.
Best, Ben

SPEED DEMON that annihilated the competition and made other racers tremble in their boots. In reality was it ridable and allowed to be used? Until I find out otherwise I will stick to my fantasy.

If the pic above is of the S.D. ,it might be rideable on straights but those right turns will be brutal, unless you are edging the grass!

"...in SOMEC we trust..."
they definitely made some killer machines. I remember, they bought me with the seat lug on that last pic you posted... but for long I thought it is way above my league.
The bikes themselves, the Martini paintjob and the panto work they did is a great combo. The last bike in this post shows they still make interesting bikes with the space-themed paintwork..
I need that T-shirt....
