My wife's MTB that began as a white Chiorda road bike. Built in '83 with pink and turquoise paint by Marinoni.

That fork is a CroMo 26" BMX cruiser fork and I really didn't want to mess it up by brazing on the canti bosses. The drums were on the shelf where I was working (Ski Rack in Burlington VT) and in one of those beer-and-messing-around-after-shop-hours sessions the decision was made. Marinoni was just up the road in Quebec and the shop did a lot of repaint biz with him. Regarding the color choice, the lady was my girlfriend at the time and I was also building her a Trek 520 touring bike. A designer, she specified pink/turquoise for this one and purple/red for the Trek. Both turned out pretty well but she no longer rides so the Trek is gone and the pink one is for sale.
