A thing has been done

Andy_K Your Bianchi now has a fraternal twin in Sea Foam Green.

I was so excited to get these pictures I had to post here before I even laid eyes on the frame. Hoping to pick up later this week. Done by Dark Matter Finishing down the road in Colorado Springs.

Downside is I might need to find some less patina'd components!

Interesting description of "celeste"...

I was reading the March issue of the UK magazine Classic and Sports Car, and featured was a six-page article on a 1907 Bianchi car (hey, it's chain driven!) that is still used in completion over a century later. Sadly, it's red.

Anyway, the article starts out "To most, the name Bianchi evokes images of pistachio-painted bicycles..."

Not sure if I'd call that technically accurate, but an interesting attempt to describe the color.

For those that do not subscribe, here's what it looks like (and the radiator badge does look like it belongs on a Bianchi bike):

Ey so I would post my photo (still can't 'cause I'ma noob, but it's 💙💚 love more on the side of seafoam, def a green Celeste) but question is more about the accents...

Long about the late 90s, Bianchi went to this staid rounded typeface (probably much like the original) on its downtube/seat tube logos, but it's *black* italic 🤌 outlined in silver...I think thet more race models were in blue, but regardless the bike you have pictured here has a much more more pleasing 80s/90s aesthetic to it, owing to that nice red/blue Bianchi logo decal (paint?) Did you seek those out?

I would, yes, attempt to scrape the current ones off and lay down a little touch-up, and blaze those. I'll be perfectly honest I've never seen or noticed quite how badass that looks.

1967 FORD factory paint color called: FROST TURQUOISE

was year model 1967 ONLY Ford, also avail in 1967 on Mercury & Lincoln

https://www.mustangspecs.com/frost-t...-ford-mustang/

I saw a 1967 MUSTANG convertible at a car show today in FROST TURQUOISE.
I was told by the car's owner that the 1967 FORD paint code for FROST TURQUOISE is B
The guy also said the PPG Industries(Ditzler) paint code for this Frost Turquoise is 12876
You should verify the accuracy of that paint code number, but that is the information that the car's owner provided to me.
Ford mustang forum sites and Ford Mustang restorers & enthusiasts should be able to provide the needed confirmation on the modern paint code for FROST TURQUOISE.

As you can see, it is a stunning color which to my old eyes, looks very similar to Bianchi CELESTE.

Open a debate.....call green blue....

Well, you had over 150 opinions, so there is that!

I probably had over 150 opinions of my own before I started this thread, but I got it sorted in the end.

There's also 55 Tbird blue.

And 55 Chevy robins egg blue.

Depending on the shade, many, many more possibilities.:roflmao2:

I know it is obvious, but I feel like it needs to be said (written?) out loud. It is hilarious, that one of, if not not thee, most iconic bike colors - is not A color.

True enough but I think most of us have seen more than a few 50's Tbird's, Chevy's and Corvettes that whatever "blue" they were was green or celeste enough to really make for a very cool looking car, whatever color they were supposed to be on paper. ;)

I have also repainted my Bianchi in Prismatic Powder's Sea Foam Green! It looks fantastic, and is very close to the original celeste!

This is my 1985 Nuovo Alloro that was originally red. However, I have always lusted after a celeste Bianchi, and after buying one in the wrong size for me (53cm), I later acquired a red frame that fit me perfectly (56cm) to get repainted, swap the parts out, and make a few upgrades.

Here is the original red Nuovo Alloro frame:

And here it is compared to an original Bianchi (non-Nuovo) Alloro painted Celeste from the factory that was used for some parts:
