Please help us!

My mom picked up a March 1980 Schwinn Tornado at a garage sale for 3 bucks. Its all original and in great shape. We werent sure if its worth anything.. If you could help it would be great!! Thanks- Mariah

Sorry, if you bought with resale profit motive you will be dissapointed. Why not just use it as
a townie utility bike??

have fun, the 80's Schwinns are great to ride but they made so many they aren't worth much.

Thanks so much . She bought it for my son to ride but her neighbor told her he shouldnt ride it b/c its so old. So we didnt want him riding something that was worth something, but if its not worth anything we will let him enjoy it.

he'd have to try pretty hard to damage that bike much. I would take it to the bike shop to get it a once over, brakes/ cables/ grease/ ect...., just to make sure it's pretty safe for a son.
