Schwinn Paramount vintage?

Is this really a 1959 Schwinn Paramount touring?

The co-op where I volunteer sent me a Paramount frame for assessment and evaluation. It has a weathered, round Paramount head badge. The “serial number” on the NDS rear dropout is A22. The only other marking is the Nervex part number on the BB. The only braze-ons are two top tube cable stops for the brake cable and a cable stop for the rear derailleur cable, but it does have front & rear fender eyelets. It doesn’t have any chrome on the stays. The fork crown is a flat top. There are no stickers or decals on the frame other than one from a bike shop in Visalia, CA.

This is a standard road, drop bar frame, the tourist models didn't have Campy DO's I don't think. some of these may have been built up as uprights but the older ones were very different frames. This is very much a find IMO. What size is it and what happens from here?

These are pretty much Identical to my 58.

More pics?

Bikes: old ones

.
...the oldest Paramount bike I've ever seen in person was in Merced, CA, not too far from Visalia. IIRC it was also from 1950 something. So there was definitely some Schwinn shop in the San Joaquin valley selling them there.

According to the info on the Waterford site, the serial number says it most certainly is a 1959 Paramount, probably from April, May or June of said year. (Waterford and Richard Schwinn are the keepers of the Paramount flame - their info is reliable.) Whether it is a touring model or a racing model, I have no clue. I think we can safely rule out its being a track model.
