A great Giro d'Italia documentary

I really enjoyed this film. Beautifully made. Lots of footage from the back of the race, filmed from the medic teams vehicles. Sorry, but I couldn't figure out how to post the link without embedding it.

If you're a Premium Member (looks like you are from the little yellow jersey next to your handle), Bike Forums will embed the video. If you'd rather just have a link, go to tinyurl.com or some other site that will create an alias for you, and use that. I believe that the Bike Forums algorithm sees the youtube.com URL and creates the embedded video.

Thanks for posting this. I just finished it, very nice view into parts of pro cycling that we don't see watching the race coverage.

Thank you Hobbiano.
I had to be patient with the initial wobbly film shots, but was glad I gave it the time.

Thank you so much. Perfect timing with the longer Veterans Day weekend in the US.

Reminded me on the documentary A Sunday in Hell from 1976. Not a fast paced documentary. I loved it.

This thread prompted me to watch la Course en Tęte - the 1974 Merckx movie. I originally got to view in in 1975, very fortunate in a screening theater on the 20th Century Fox lot. Much audience vocalization and enthusiasm.

anyway, watched it again on YouTube and about 45 min in the scenes of the mechanic prepping the bikes between stages, the Eddy Orange bike has a Big Spade cutout on the top of the fork crown and milled in the front of the Campagnolo seatpost. Huh.

one aspect of the film I forgot was the worry and concern of Eddy’s wife for him, safety and emotional well being, one got the impression that he was expecting to win.
way back Playboy ran an article on Eddy after he achieved the hour record and made note that his children were born about 9 months after a major victory.

I don't think I've ever watched la Course en Tęte. Bookmarked it to watch later. Thanks.

the footage where Eddy whips out a 5mm Allen (probably Campagnolo) key and adjusts his saddle height while in motion was Impressive decades ago.

Focused a bit much on the medical aspects for me, but a good doc. Thanks for sharing.

Maybe it's my age, but I liked that perspective.
It was nice to see the concern and kindness from the medical staff.
Although the team support staff wanted anybody who might stay upright and pedal to do so.
