Bits that get lost a lot, rendering the rest unusable...
Those adjuster bits on the Dia-Comp and Weinmann side-pulls' QR mechanism go missing a lot; the bit with female threads that slides up-and-down.

sometimes I see an o-ring on the bottom where the threads poke out to hold it in place when it is not assembled.

I don't know if they go missing "a lot". I've never lost any. For brakes that aren't installed on a bike, just use a wire tie to keep it with the calipers.
Even if they do get lost, those are basic barrel adjusters, easily available.

That's not the bit that gets lost (well they do, but being readily available as you point out it only renders the brake *temporarily* unusable).

On a related note; you know the hair rubber bands that are not really that great for hair because it can damage it? I buy them in bulk to tie up all sorts of things and bike parts in particular. Sadly rubber bands degrade over time but so far these seem to last forever.

Tangentially related… the adapter washer that allows the use of a “normal” rear derailleur on Schwinn fillet-brazed bikes that have Huret dropouts. Without it, the derailleur doesn’t work.

Does anyone know if the "quick release caliper adjusters" you posted will work on
Shimano 600 Arabesque brakes? I think they're model 600EX. I have several pairs that are missing these.
