Removing a Superbe Pro FD

I mounted a Superbe Pro front derailleur and didn't realize that the cable fastening threads had been totally stripped. After installing it, I then realized that the bolt to tighten it on had been damaged and now I'm having trouble removing it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to remove it? Thanks.

"SOMETIMES" a torx bit can be tapped in to get enough bite to wind it out, better to drill it out all the way or enough to get good bite with the torx, you need one that has sharp points, not the rounded ones.

Lisle also has some with several more splines that work very well.

You have to be careful not to ding the tube.

Penetrant and low heat may help.

You are lucky that the parts forma Cyclone will change over to the Superbe that you have. If the parts are damaged they can be easily replaced, but the endless clamp and screw are the hardest things to find. I probably have a partial cage and body around here somewhere. When you get the body off of the endless clamp, you can likely use a Dremel wheel to re-cut a new screw attachment without the damage to the JIS/Phillips that the body attaches to. If you need help reach out by PM. Smiles, MH
