Motobecane Jubiliee Sport

Nice to see others interested in this old bike. I found a good condition, early 80's Jubiliee Sport. I got it for free so, with that, it's a great deal. A bike just like this one was my first road bike, back in high school. I am considering restoring this one to almost new condition. I am checking to see if I will be able to find parts, decals, etc. Are these type of things somewhat readily available? It doesn't need much as I don't think it actually has many miles since new. The frame is in good shape, not much, if any, deterioration. I'll have to fill you all in later with the details of frame, components, etc. Thanks for any help.

I just picked up this Jubilee Sport a week ago...it's also early 80ish...I'm guessing '84...and appears to be all original down to the tires...let me know if I may be of any help as you begin your restoration...

Hi avia8tur !

Welcome to C&V.

Congrats on finding your Jubilee Sport. THIS THREAD is current and may answer a few of your questions about part availability -( if you need any...Sounds like you may have a garage queen there that just needs some new cables, tires, tubes, and bearings. )

That's a very fine looking bike there ohjohnnybegoode, in wonderful shape, and a very vibrant blue one at that.

Those downtube shifters look similar to the ones on my '84 Nishiki Olympic 12. What kind of derailleur does it have? (my Oly 12 had Suntour ARX)

The rear deraileur is a Suntour Cyclone...the front is ARX - thank you for reminding me...the RD is the one thing that may not be orginial - as the '84 catalog says it came with ARX...thanks!
