I need help identifying Japan bike brand logo
Hello everyone.
This is my first post so if i do things wrong i apologise.
I got this bike from a shed find on a farm in NZ. The farmer said they brought back the bike in a suitcase from japan for their daughter.
I cant identify the bike brand/logo as i was wondering if anyone on here had seen the logo before.
I have tried old google with no luck and i came across your forum and thought someone on hear might be able to help.
The bike in design is very similar to a Keno, huffy and schwinn of the time (70's)
The bike frame as you can see has been sprayed blue
Also the extension on the bike seat is homemade, blue sparkle seat is original.
Thanks
It seems i cant post pictures until i have written 10 posts.
Is there any other way to post pictures?? Admins???

You can't put pictures in a post yet, but you can still create an album and others can copy the pictures from the album back into this thread.

Raleigh used the phrase "All-Steel Bicycle" in their marketing copy of the 1930s-70s, so that head badge is likely a reference to that. "SM" isn't coming up in any online searches, leading me to think that it may have been a small domestic Japanese shop. Many larger OEMs in Japan would produce bikes under a variety of brands for local stores.

The closest I can find is SteelMaster. But I know nothing about them. I found this 10 years ago but I do not remember where. A road bicycle that looks Japanese made.
