Bikes: Cuevas & Cimmaron are my full time riders, small MB-3 and large Competition GS are my sometimers

On first look I thought the monitor stand mounted on the desk was a repair stand . Nice desk, did you steam bend the ply?

Best, Ben
Eames is obviously best, but it really is a toss up between the Rietveld and the Bertoia. Thanks about the desk. It is my first foray in bent plywood.

Thanks. I kerfed 2 half inch plies, one for the top, one for the bottom, glued them together. I have a SawStop in the next room over. I have no means to steam something 2 feet wide.

Bikes: Indeed!

Rumor has it that one of these days my wife's car will fit in here.

The bikes and the spare parts loft:

The workbench. Organized enough that I can usually find everything. Messy enough that I'm not tempted to take my meals in here too.

Hand tools:

It's almost as much about the memorabilia as it is about the projects.

My bins aren't so sophisticated as many of yours.

Bird's eye view of the front of the shop:

Bikes: I hate bikes!

My space is a two-part solution.

Since the house is about 100 years old and the garage is detached and has no power, the work gets done in the basement.

The storage happens in the garage.

Vey low ceilings for someone 6ft- ish. Even after 14 years I still hit my head on pipes!

Bike space is shared with the music gear

I thought about having power run to the garage but then I would need a door cut in and heat etc.

All the families bikes

I get one side and corner of the garage.

"Car rack" is my repair rack also.

For me, this is disgustingly organized.

The bag corner.

Where DID all these wheels come from?!

Thank you for the cool, inspiring pictures, but what are these "basement" things some of you refer to?

My wife doesn't like our 4'x7' CedarShed "Yard Saver," so I am going to get the evict the gardening supplies and requisition that space for bike and car parts storage. I'll keep hanging the bikes from the garage rafters, above the cars, on "Bicycle Storage Hooks."

No real dedicated work area. When it's nice out I may move cars and work inside the garage but mostly just in the driveway by the tools. Sometimes out in the back but getting tools from the garage can be tiresome.
When it's too hot then inside the house becomes a workspace.

Back out the Camaro for garage space.

Common spot out front of the garage

Too hot outside

Love the corrugated siding on the house and industrial fencing. Very cool. Is that a container tiny house to the left?

Bikes: N+1

My bike space is consists of parts of two rooms in the basement, and is a bit of a mess -- the workshop also has some woodworking tools (most not in pic) and the HVAC, etc -- switching projects is a bit like playing real-life Tetris. lol.gif

The bike storage wall/winter ergometer room (one ergometer for me, one for my stoker/wife) shares space with laundry, wood storage (that's quarter-sawn white oak staked under the bikes), and assorted flotsam.

We have a 12' x 16' shed that stores 3 more tandems and my more frequent riders. Running out of room, which is likely a good thing, as it dampens the acquisitional urge... although I am picking up an interesting n+1 at the end of the week, so...

Bikes: they change so much I'm tired of updating this

Today is shop cleaning and organizing day. Heading back down Wednesday to bring back another load. I enjoy getting the parts and selling for my friend but I hate losing precious space in my shop.

To All,
This thread confirms my suspicions about BF members.....How we display or bikes or organize our shops, , we are all beyond saving and are A-1 hoarders to the max.....
Best, Ben

Way to ruin a good workshop thread, Ben...yeesh. Haha.

However, I AM in the process of de-hoarding!

Acceptance is the 1st stage to recovery..............Hold that thought, I just got a notification that my grail bike might be available.
Best, Ben

On a more positive note, one can see it as a form of recycling, limiting/reducing landfill.....A win win situation!.
