Bikes: 62 Falcon, 58 Raleigh Lenton Gran Prix, 74 Raleigh Pro, 75 Raleigh Int, 75 Raleigh Comp, 76 Colnago Super, 75 Crescent, 80 Peugeot PX10, plus others too numerous to mention!

Cool “feature” in downtown Lynden, WA, public bike tools on sidewalk near the public restrooms, pretty comprehensive group!

Such a neat idea! Sad that Amerikans don’t accept such shared communal resources. I try to remember to take pictures of what is left of the installations in my neighborhood. ☹️

Actually, there are quite a few of those scattered around the SF Bay Area.

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

We have an identical setup outside our local Lazy Acres store (part of the Bristol Farms chain) here in Encinitas. I did have to assist a damsel in distress who had Presta valves and no Schraeder-to-Presta adapter, so she couldn't use the pump. I just used my trusty Zefal HP-X and sent her on her way.

yeah, even in Peoria, I can think of three of them along the Rock Island trail. Can't say that I've ever seen anyone use them, though. .. but it's not like I hang around all day watching them either.

Steve in Peoria (obviously)

Bikes: 1964(?) Frejus Tour de France, 1967(?) Dawes Double Blue, 1979 Trek 710, 1982 Claud Butler Dalesman, 1983 Schwinn Paramount Elite, 1984 Miyata 1000, 2014 Brompton, maybe a couple more

I split time in Phoenix Arizona and rural Ohio. The ones along the bike trails in rural Ohio get robbed or vandalized occasionally, but rarely enough that maintaining them is reasonable, The ones in Phoenix last about 10 minutes and take a very long time to get fixed or replaced, if at all. Kind of like air pumps at most gas stations these days - you definitely can't count on it being in working condition when you need it, with or without quarters.

There are quite a few around where I ride. I've used them a few times and love the idea of communal free cycling repair for everyone. Unfortunately, the ones in my surrounding neighborhood have had most of the tool's stolen by fent-heads.

Bikes: It's complicated.

Can’t throw a rock in much of Portland without hitting one.

That's why I don't use the air pumps at gas stations, either. My Shraeder/Presta floor pump works just fine for the cars and the bikes, and it's good exercise, anyway.

That was nearly all of them when in lived in San Diego, in Boise they are mostly intact. There is one on the local river trail I frequently see being used by local homeless persons to disassemble bicycles.

There's one at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Queens NY. Pump doesn't work. But, if a ranger sees you working there, he/she will offer to get you a pump from the ranger station.
