Anyone heard of Team Lobster?
I thought maybe an early Rock Lobster, but nothing close to it online.

Looks like a decent frame, possibly Japanese built.
What does the head badge look like?

Bikes: Indeed!
Paul Sadoff (Rock Lobster Cycles) has built a wide variety of bikes in his time but that certainly doesn't look like one of his. The decals aren't ones that he ever used and the little bit of the headtube decal that we can see doesn't resemble his. Another tell is the chrome on the fork crown, seat stay caps, and the dropouts. It appears that there is some sort of marking (engraving?) on the seat stay caps. That might tell you the brand if you look at the bike in person.

Chromed Seatstay Cap is Columbus
The bird on the seatstay cap indicates Columbus tubing, though not a particular brand. My son’s vintage bike is a Palo Alto branded bike that was built by Biemezza in Italy on contract for the Palo Alto Bike Shop. It has the same Columbus dove on the seatstay cap.
To me, it is an indication that the frame is built with Columbus tubing. You can look at internal seatpost measurements and relative weight as other clues. (27.2 seatpost diameter would correspond to Columbus SL tubing. You can also look for rifling in the tubes as another indicator.
Have you searched for a Lobster Bike Shop? Or a bike shop with lobster in the name? Several larger shops contracted for house brand bikes and this may be the product of one.

The group I was riding with in the early 1980's went by the moniker "Rhino Herdsmen" We had shirts and logo's of a sheep wearing sunglasses made up and it carried through to the RAAM entrant for three years. It was big fun back then but it did die out. Perhaps your "Lobsters" were similar kind of folks. Smiles, MH
