Help with Bianchi Identification?

Any idea what this may be? Listed as an Eros, but seems a bit nicer than that, especially if the SLX tubing sticker is correct. Looks similar to this '89 Giro, but lacks pantograph in seatstay caps and BB shell

Very nice! Looks to be in good shape, maybe more dirt from sitting idel than actual use? I'pretty sure that is the '89 Giro as everything but the pedals and seat look correct. She even seems to stillbe wearing the OEM Vittoria Zefir tires. I think either this a respray, but doubtful or somewhere along the line the Bianchi on the stay caps and forkcrown just got painted over in Celeste. You can barely see the outline on the caps.

Bikes: Cannondale tandems: '92 Road, '97 Mtn. Mongoose 10.9 Ti, Kelly Deluxe, Tommaso Chorus, Cdale MT2000, Schwinn Deluxe Cruiser, Torker Unicycle, among others.

I can't tell from the pics, but is it indexed shifting on the right? Synchro 2 was supplied with at least some '89 Campy bikes. My Chorus had Synchro 2 downtube shifting.

That looks pristine. Is there a "Mad In Xxxx" sticker anywhere to be found? Should be Italy either way. I visited Bianchi Italy in '97 and it was just as they were moving low to mid-level production to Asia.

Ironically, I warranteed my '87 Limited frame in '89 and received either an SL or SLX frameset with chrome lugs. It was very nice, but I had to sell it nonetheless to make room in the budget for the team Tommaso that was in the pipeline. Wish I had held onto that frame. I won all my races on the '87. Ironic that the team bikes arrived AFTER collegiate nationals.

Dual mode, indexed or friction - https://www.disraeligears.co.uk/site...g_scan_10.html

Yes, it does appear to have the original Zefir tires that are listed in the catalog. I really think this is just a time capsule of a bike; used for a year or two and then put into storage. Kinda doubt if it was resprayed as components also seems fairly good condition and the aforementioned oem tires. The seatstay caps and BB shell are totally smooth, though, definitely not pantographed. Kinda weird. The drive-side crank also lacks the Campagnolo logo, but doesn't look to have wore off from rubbing.

Yes, made in Italy sticker by the shifters, and seven-speed indexing.

It is a Giro - I have the same bike. As mentioned previously, the tires are original. The saddle is not, but a nice upgrade.

Enjoy it, they are nice riding bikes.
