PSA? new to me great polish

I think it was Kevin7 that posted about it.

Got some and finally tried it, it will be my go to going forward.

Both wheels turned out well, they were afflicted with the gold/yellow grunge that can be very labor intensive to get off, one was done awhile ago and took way too much time and elbow grease with my normal program mainly Turtle wax rust remover and chrome polish that usually works good on most anything but not well on this.

Took many applications and scrubbing to get there.

The other one is after mostly one good application of the Chemical Guys Heavy Metal Polish and still a fair amount of elbow grease but not having to increasingly double down after many passes to get it all the way there.

It made the first one look bad so it got a pass with it and they both look pretty good from here now, these were pretty nasty to begin with.

Sidewalls and spokes still to be done so......

WOO-HOO!

I'm guessing that the bulk of the time I spent refurbing an older bike ends up being spent on polishing the metal -- even more than the time I spend detailing the frame.

And the payoff for me? When I'm riding with my wife, and she's on one of the bikes that I've refurbished ... I basically get to marvel at the bright work -- whether on a sunny day or with heavy cloud cover.

It's a lot of work, but I like the ROI.

Nice job!

OK, I'm convinced; I'll try a bottle. Sounds like something I would have appreciated over last winter's restorations.

Tx, yeah some nasty stuff just won't come off without a lot of effort which is getting to be too much effort for me, these may be the last ones I do, always had plenty of elbow grease and stubbornness in reserve, not so much anymore.

The challenges are becoming ever more so.

I'm gonna hook a brass brush up to a Sonicare and see what happens.

Turtle was neutered some years ago but still seemed to work ok often but this gunk never responded well to anything really.

That was my first thought too...
Chicago Dog near me makes a pretty decent one. And the lady upfront taking orders is the best kind of salty.
