Univega Custom Ten

I bought a Univega Custom Ten from eBay, and it was from the stock of a retired LBS dealer. I don't think it has any real value other than a bike I am willing to ride for a year or two.

However I am curious of what years the bike could have been made. I see no useful information when I use Google.

My guess is that it is from the early 80's due to the general characteristics. Friction shifters, lugged steel frame, and the brake extensions for when you are riding on the flats of the bars. The seat was also a plastic covered foam seat with plastic cover... The decals are bubbled a bit (from age?), but the bicycle was obviously recently assembled when I bought it.

What should I look for (components or other?) to narrow down the timeframe that this bike was originally manufactured?

Thanks!

Shimano Suntour, SRAM, Falcon???What does the decal look like...The link below has a bike with decals that I think indicated late 80s /early 90s. See Univega change decals from time to time. Also a Serial Number could help!
