Gary Fisher Montare

Here is the Gary Fisher Montare that I picked up at my favorite local junk store....

I got it for $20.00 plus tax. All the hardware was intact and appears to be original. Bike didn't come with wheels, but I had some kicking around the shop.

I snagged this for $45

1993 Trek USA 930 Singletrack. I bought it from original owner. The original Trek Z Axis tires are dry rotted but the tubes hold air. Dude said he never had a flat...bike probably has 50 miles in it tops. Tires still have nubbies.

Motioncraft ATB 1986

This is my 1986 Japanese made ATB which is now finished. Mostly original except seat and rims. Padding on original seat collapsed and rims were steel Ukai which I have put away as they were in excellent condition. Had these alloy's sitting around. 12 speed and using Diacompe MX1000 brakes. Just fitted some new Kenda ATB tyres in 26 x 1.75. Gumwall's really set it off I think. Rides well for a gas pipe jigger. Anyone ever heard of Motioncraft before?

This little slice of weird showed up yesterday at the shop...

https://flic.kr/p/UwrEzp
https://flic.kr/p/UwrBvP

96 or 97 Proflex Beast with 20 year old working Magura hydro rim brakes!!

Lemme know if you want it. Dunno what we're gonna do with it. Apparently worth $1800 when it sold new.

Neat stuff.

ZAFTIG. Going to replace the original! tires w/good fat semislicks (maybe Hookworms, if the frame and fenders will handle them), screw in a decent pair of pedals, mount a Brooks and some Jandd panniers on it and steamroll downtown.

Ricardo Ridge Rider 87 Australian made MTB

Picked up this a few weeks ago, along with another in a larger size. It's a 1987 Ricardo Ridge Rider. CrMo Tange P.G. tubing. Ricardo was the last Australian Bicycle manufacturer left and closed in 1990. 15 speed with alloy concave rims, Sakae oval cranks, Dia Compe 981 brakes. SR 22mm stem. Plan to restore it by using best parts from the 2 bikes plus a nice set of concave rims I have. Love this thread by the way!

On an Idaho Hot Springs tour (semi-supported) a couple years ago. My first ever mountain bike. a 1989 Fisher Paragon.

Now converted to 700c and looks like this, soon with a Jones Loop bar.

(looks like that saddle shifted back a bit, will need to move that up slightly.)

Cool Trek. I don't see too many of those.
Funny, there's a Youtuber I subscribe to with the Noriyaro name too.

My dad gave me this. He was the original owner and paid around 900 bucks for this bike in the early 90s. It hung in his garage for 10 years or better. I gave it to my wife. Put a riser quill on it and bars with extra sweep for her.

More on the newer (just 20yrs old) side, this '97 Trek 7000 has been a load of fun. At a lighter 24lbs and just right geometry, the bike climbs like a goat, super snappy acceleration. I have been thrashing and carving singletrack courses and am very impressed with the bike.

DB Sorrento and Univega Alpina Pro

For your perusing pleasure...

A 1993? Diamondback Sorrento that I'm giving to my brother in law and the 1998? Univega Alpina Pro that is replacing it.

The DB seemed like it had been ridden hard and put away wet, but it did the job. The Univega has been well used, but short of paint defects it seems to be in great mechanical shape. I picked the Univega up for under $50 with practically new tires on it, I think the guy had it serviced less than a year ago, it had belonged to his father-the original owner.

Good find for 25 bucks. Based on the colors and groupset it is likely a 1991or 92.

I also have two oldies...a 1982 Ritchey Mckinely and a 1982 Specialized stumpjumper. Both in great shape considering their age!
