I don't consider myself an expert, but my first thought is, "That's not a Rossin.":

EDIT: Aha - Reynolds 531 Aluminum...

I'm waiting for the Numbskull who tries to palm off the frame tubing as being "recycled, eco-friendly Reynolds aluminum."

It would be fun to put your friend's bike up on craigslist too, and reference the other ad as proof of its rarity.

That is actually surprisingly useful gearing. It's lower than what all the fixed people use, but lets you climb hills pretty handily and still maintain decent speed (15-17 mph) on the level. I know because my cruiser is geared 2:1.

Here we have the Reversed Front Fender:

Uhhhh? This is the guy who buys bikes at my local flea market, and then tries to get ridiculous prices for them. It was $40 at the flea market, and worth about half that for condition imho.,,,,BD

I believe it's the same guy bought a Cannondale road bike for $250, possibly a fair enough price. He dumps it on ebay for $600 BIN. Why he would have bought this one is beyond me?

Somebody tell me if this is hyperbole or not, down to the 1020 frame and the Miami Dade Community College sticker adorning the seattube.

This Trek has "never been crashed or wrecked" but the seller acknowledges the fork is bent, which, of course, doesn't affect the handling. Hmm.
