The bike is weird. It looks like it has a dual chain ring in the front (I think Collegiate 5s had chain guards that ran all the way to the back, not just the circular one on the crank), but there is no front derailleur.

Frankenbike?

Possibly a crank from a 1984 Traveler 5 speed https://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1980_1990/1984Ltwt16.html

put on a 1980 Collegiate.https://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1980_1990/1980_21.html

From one of the local flippers. Yes, there is a picture. Yes, you can clearly read the name on the side of the bike. At least it's clean.

BEAUTIFUL FEMALE ROLLER BLADES - $100
You mean only a beautiful female can ride them? Or do they come with a beautiful female? Not a bad price for both.

That's actually pretty cool. I guess he has limited mobility in his legs, seeing as how the marathon pic had his leg bent, unless he put it like that... Good for him either way, it's sad that there are a lot of people not unlike him who choose to be lazy rather than find a means of staying fit.

Yer basic numbskull: crappy non-drive-side photo, crappy condition, but it's got a recognizable name so it must be worth $100 to some fool who wants to build a fixie:

https://detroit.craigslist.org/bik/1010494039.html

Sad thing is, the downtube shifter and (seeming) lack of a dork disk raise the possibility that it was one of the better bike boom Peugeots.

wow...that's one of his better ideas. hardsole has also brought us "innovations" such as cranks on both drive and non-drive sides and a brake system that uses a shifter as a brake lever. i give the guy props for trying but most of his bikes are pretty hard to look at.

2bick 1907,98 sell 1450.

Two bikes. Paid $1,907.98. Will sell both for $1,450.00

That's my guess at a translation. I was thinking these run quite a bit cheaper than that, but not sure.

These have only hosted rats nests for a few years, still have a lot of life left in them. For a few extra bucks I can throw in some lice.

If you look really close or enhance that pic, you can see that the chain is only attached to one end on one side of the caliper slot that would normally hold the cable. This will no doubt pull off center on that arm and most likely break the caliper arm end.
I wonder if this mod was just to add weight or if he was just too cheap to buy a set of brake crossover wires? Maybe he felt he needed to ad some extra weight too?

Followup: This AM (a snow day from work) I sent a carefully considered, polite email to the guy suggesting his price was out of line. He replied civilly with an offer to send more & better pix. So...I am provisionally revoking the numbskull designation.

If it is indeed a better than average bike boom Peugeot in acceptable shape and I can bargain a bit...

Will post pix he sends if they seem interesting (perhaps in another thread).

Thought for a second I'd found a good one for the "Alt Bikes" category, but not so. It's a
"ANTIQUE RED ADULT SIZE TRI-CYCLE STEAM ENGINE BIKE". Sounds pretty cool, no? Then I get to looking at his photos. There's some miscellaneous junk on the back of this adult tricycle, but doesn't seem to be any steam engine, any boiler, any piping or valve works, no attachment to the wheels, nothing. All there is, steam-related, is a steam gauge. Then I notice the question asked:
Q: Your pictures do not show the steam engine. Is it still there?
A: no sir, there is no engine attatched, just whats in the pictures.
Doh!
So basically, if I put a "Warp Factor Meter" on the front of my bicycle, and throw some crap in a basket on the back, I'll have a warp drive bicycle?
https://cgi.ebay.com/ANTIQUE-RED-ADUL...3A1%7C294%3A50
(Even a non-functioning steam engine would have been cool!)

Moronic numbskull (jerk, loser, etc.) of the day...an $800 bicycle advertised on NJ CL without photos, no mention of model or frame size, and shows a total lack of knowledge of his offering.

"fuji bike w/all equipment for touring - $800

fuji touring bike tire 1.25, has suspention handlebars, best breaking
system, removable wheel for easy storage, back rack w/storage bag,
bottle holder, miles counter, night light, gloves, wide comfortable
seat, 12-15 speed, and much more."
