And thank you for posting the link to the catalog!!!

Actually, I never pinpointed the date of my frame, and just assumed it was 1985 or so. The rear was already spaced at 129mm, so I figured the previous owner had it cold set to accomodate a modern wheel.

At any rate, the bike is all built up now, and has been for a few months. I have about 900 miles on it so far, and it is just a lovely bike to ride. I get appreciative looks an comments whenever I take it for a spin, and one time I actually had a guy on a ~$10,000 IF custom bike stop to stare and drool over it. His parting words were "That thing is just beautiful from every angle".

With Mlik's permission, I have uploaded the catalog .pdf file at VeloBase.com in the Catalog Scan section of the site where it should remain as long as I have any control over things over there. And seeing as I'm owner and sole admin... that should be a while.

I have been reading about the Palo Alto frame and I was wondering if any of you would know about the frames that were built in the late 70's. I bought a frame from them in late 1977 and still have it in great condition. Does anyone know who made those, were they too built by some contractor. I am certain they were built using 531 tubing but I received the blue imron painted frame with no decals. I do remember that I had to choose which braze on fittings I wanted and since I was only 16 years old and mowing yards to satisfy my bicycle habit I did not get all the braze on fitting that I wish I had now. I am a pack rat and I may still have the 77 and 78 catalogs, maybe I should look for them.
Any information would help.
