More like blindnow, yikes that is bright!
I don't think I've ever posted this, and I've never ridden it longer than a short test ride, The fork is from a GT Force, painted to match the tone of the paint now. 1989 Team Miyata. I still need a set of brake calipers, front derailleur, and a crank to complete the group. I know it should have DT shifters, but the STI's were all I had. They are Dura Ace though, and function flawlessly. I bought the frame sans fork for ten bucks, at the flea market 5-6 years ago now, but never built it up until late last Summer.,,,,BD

Lovely bikes! I've posted this elsewhere. Not quite as stunning as some here, but the hype about Miyatas is real. It rides beautifully.

Nice, I wonder what the differences are between the RS and RT models. Is yours a Tange double butted frame too? There is a yellow Focus on the bay right now @JReade

Tange 1000, or 900. I think, I haven't looked at the label in a while. I've never seen any other Focus bikes (except the new ones) before. I don't know who/how/why about these bikes. It rides great though. It came with Suntour cyclone FD/RD with an SR crankset, I upgraded to full suntour sprint at one point, but now it's a singlespeed with hodgepode parts.
That must be the difference in the RS and RT is the tubing. Mine shows double butted Tange 2

Before I get blasted: this frame was rusting and broken, missing a fork. It got repaired, had a custom fork built, and now rides again. Yes, it would have been better as a road bike with a DA 7400 group, but at least it's clean and seeing use.

An almost finished, Japanese winter project - and it is unfortunately still winter; thus the kitchen back drop :-)
Still deciding on a saddle.

OK lets try this again - I just this w/e finished the restoration of my '82 Fuji Supreme and was looking for a thread to post my proud pics. I came upon a thread on tall frame bikes in the "new Post" section, and thought "great, this works" , but it was a old thread asking a question from '08 brought back by a newbie on his 1st post, so it's currently the brunt of Zombie jokes. I'm pretty green here too as evidenced by the fact I never noticed dates.
I guess this is a better place to show off my 27" frame Fuji bought new in '82...the 1st bike shop bike I've ever owned. I put a fatter tire on the rear and a more padded seat to handle my somewhat more padded self

I really like old school Japanese steel bikes. I have several that I ride regularly. Here are three of my favorites:

I posted my Echelon/Cherubim Odyssey here in an "Obscure Marque" thread, will slightly rejigger it and likely take it to Cirque in a coupla weeks. Cirque's theme this year is "Obscurity," so the Echelon should fit. I recently picked up a mis-decaled Echelon Spectra frameset, incorrectly re-badged as a Cherubim. The folks at Cherubim should have some of the correct decals on hand.

1986 Miyata 710. Mostly original except for saddle, peddles, pump, bottle cage and consumables. Bought it from original owner.
