wOw... It's finally done (pics)
As my "final" for my wheelbuilding certification I laced some Sun M14a's to Sunshine Pro-Ams using a 3-cross pattern and Sapim "race" double-butted spokes. This completed not just my time at UBI but also signalled the completion of the bike known as "wOw".
Without further ado:





Found this in my LBS sans hubs but all else intact if a little grimy. Bought the hubs that came with the frame (they had been unlaced from original tubular rims) Didn't appear to have been ridden AT ALL. I gave it some love, gease, new cable/housing, bar wrap, and finally built the wheelset and here she is.
Went out on a group ride on Tues. 15 miles went by beautifully. Rode another 15 or so yesterday (fast).
I LOVE IT! She's the lightest bike in my stable. Stiff and nimble; I feel confident on city streets, even with 32 year old brake pads
It is going to be hard not choosing her for my everyday riding. So hard...
