Bikes: 1977-78 Raleigh Professional - bought new, 1987 Shogun 400 (for the lady)
Quiz on front dreailleur type!
Can anybody tell what this changer is?? Extra points for the years offerred

appears to be Nuovo Valentino. 1978-1983/4ish??

It IS a Nuovo Valentino, but it didn't come out until 81-82 and was probably available until 86. giveaways are the lipped non-drilled cage (GS or NV only) and the bushed like area on the pivot arm (NV only - GS had a smooth joint).

had my catalogues mixed up... is the pivot arm itself steel or alloy? I guess steel?

I don't think this was ever used at the 980 front changer.
